MultiCore Cables

  • Temperature Rating: These cables can operate in temperatures ranging from 25℃ to +70℃, with high resistance cables (HR) rated up to +90℃.
  • Harmonized Norms: The multicore sheathed cables, whether unscreened or screened, are designed according to H05VVF and H05V2V2F (HR) standards as per EN 50525211 and IEC 602274/5/6.
  • Flame Retardance: These cables are flame retardant according to IEC/EN 6033212, ensuring they do not contribute to the spread of fire.
  • Low Smoke Emission: For FRLS norms, the cables comply with IEC 610342 and ASTM D 2843, ensuring minimal smoke emission in the event of a fire.
  • Test Voltage: The cables can withstand a test voltage of 2.5KV AC for 15 minutes, ensuring their reliability in highvoltage environments.
  • Bending Radius: The cables have a minimum bending radius ranging from 4x the diameter for cables less than 6.0mm to 8x the diameter for cables greater than 20mm.
  • Identification: The cables are clearly identified with surface print as per IEC 60227/EN 50525 norms and labeled over coils.
  • Packing: The cables are bundled in coils or wooden drums and are available in lengths of 100 meters or as per agreement between Rolliflex and the customer.

  • Conductor: The conductor is made from Class 5 IEC 60228 plain or tincoated copper, ensuring excellent conductivity and flexibility.
  • Insulation: The cables feature Type TI2 PVC insulation according to EN 503633 standards, providing superior protection against electrical interference.
  • Sheath (Outer Jacket): The outer jacket is made from Type TM2 PVC as per EN 5036341 standards, offering excellent resistance to environmental factors.
  • Shield (Shielded Cables): The shielded cables come with either Mylar or metal shielding. Mylar shielding consists of aluminiumbacked Mylar tape with a minimum 25% overlap, followed by polyester tape along with an ATC drain wire applied longitudinally. Metal shielding consists of plain or tinned copper crosshelical braiding with a minimum 80% coverage density.
  • Core Identification: The core identification varies depending on the number of cores.
  • For 2 core cables, the colors are brown and blue.
  • For 3 core cables, the colors are brown, blue, and yellow/green.
  • For 4 core cables, the colors are brown, blue, black, and yellow/green.
  • For 5 core and more, the insulation is marked with consecutive numerals, with the last core being yellow/green.
  • Sheath Colour: The sheath is generally grey, with black available for UVresistant applications.
  • Fillers (Optional): The cables can be filled with PVC or synthetic materials for added stability and durability.
